內容簡介 Adapted by Kenneth Lonergan (Manchester by the Sea, You Can Count On Me), Howards End deals with the social and class divisions in early 20th century England through the intersection of three families – the wealthy Wilcoxes, the gentle and idealistic Schlegels and the lower-middle class Basts. Nico Muhly composed the score to Howards End. This brilliant young American composer counts Philip Glass, The National, Björk and Usher amongst those who have called upon his talents. He has also built up a reputation as a soundtrack composer, most notably scoring Stephen Daldry’s 2008 Academy Award winning movie, The Reader. Having studied at New York’s Juilliard School, Nico Muhly worked across a number of film productions, including score coordination on Stephen Daldry’s The Hours, additional orchestration on Michel Gondry’s Be Kind Rewind and music preparation on Richard Eyre’s Notes on a Scandal.After successfully scoring George Ratliff’s 2007 drama, Joshua, the young artist went on to work with Kenneth Lonergan on his 2009 film, Margaret. Muhly then composed his first opera, Two Boys, which was commissioned by the Metropolitan Opera and the English National Opera. Most recently, he collaborated with Alfonso Gomez-Rejon on the critically acclaimed 2015 movie Me and Earl and the Dying Girl and with John Cameron Mitchell on the Neil Gaiman adaptation How To Talk To Girls At Parties.
