作者介紹 Clare GogertyAfter years living in London, Clare moved to a smallholding in Herefordshire, a county of many leylines, misty valleys and long-held customs. Here she keeps sheep and chickens, cultivates an orchard, veg plot and herb garden and has created a garden based on the elements, which includes mystical turf spiral where the lawn used to be. The move to the country has reawakened her interest in magic, Druidry, herbal remedies and folklore, which she writes about in her books.A former magazine editor, has continued to write for various publications, including Coast magazine (which she edited for six years), the Guardian, The Simple Things and Which? Travel, among others. Clare continues to explore Britain at every opportunity, always on the look-out for special, over-looked places that have a rare and magical atmosphere. Particular favourites include holy wells, standing stones, labyrinths, tidal islands and forgotten churches.
